Engr. Michael Adebayo KEHINDE
Engr. Michael Kehinde is a Christian born in April, 1966 and happily married to Mrs. Idowu Kehinde with children. He started his elementary education in Ibadan before moving to Abeokuta his hometown for his secondary education. He graduated in 1992 with B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He did his post graduate degree at the same University and obtained a professional Master’s degree in Project Development and Implementation (MPDI) in 2010. On the award of a French Government scholarship in January 2013, he proceeded to France for an advanced Master’s degree and bagged an International executive advanced Master’s degree in (Urban Water Supply and Sanitation) from Agro Paris Tech, France in 2014.
He is a chartered Engineer and corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Engr. Kehinde started his professional career in 1994 with the Ogun State Water Corporation, Abeokuta and has served in various positions; as Area Engineer/Manager, Sagamu Area office from 1995 to 2000, he was Head of Engineering Planning and Development from 2000 to 2014. He joined the World Bank Assisted National Urban Water Sector Reform Project teamas a Procurement Engineer in 2004 and rose to become the Project Coordinator in 2007. He wasassigned the duty of a Business Manager for Abeokuta Area Business Unit in 2011, from where he got to the position of an Assistant General Manager (Operations).
He was released on secondment upon his appointment in 2014 by African Water Association (AfWA) as the pioneer Coordinator for Water Operators’ Partnership (WOP) Nigeria platform, and with the assistance of USAID under the WOP-Africa umbrella, he successfully conducted 3 WOP arrangements prior to returning back for duties.
Kehinde Michael Adebayo is trustworthy, ethical, discreet and well organized with an attitude of self-motivation, He is creative and has initiative to achieve goals. His leadership quality is proven with great ability to build team cohesion. He is hard working, very determined and enjoys keeping himself busy, putting extra effort in his tasks. He enjoys working with others and able to work unsupervised. He is reliable and strives to always keep a positive attitude and have the ability to learn quickly.
Kehinde has sufficient professional skill in International Procurement practices having undergone series of international and practical trainings in Procurement, Leadership and Project Team Management. He is Computer literate and a seasoned World Bank Procurement Specialist.
